The Institute of Geopolitics (Instytut Geopolityki) is an independent, non-governmental research institution that aims at exploring the area of geopolitics as well as promoting and popularizing knowledge on geopolitics. It was founded as a "think-tank" in June 2007 in Czestochowa, Poland.

The Chairman of the Institute of Geopolitics is Leszek Sykulski, the Vice Chairman is Dr Radosław Domke. The President of the Academic Council of the Institute of Geopolitics is Prof. Piotr Eberhardt.

The Institute of Geopolitics carries out number of research in the field of geopolitics offering integrated, interdisciplinary analyses. The IG continously monitors international events in the field of politics, military affairs, economy affairs, politic-military shake-ups and changes in geopolitical predominance courses.

The Institute is a promoter of the annual Polish Geopolitics Convention.

The supervisory authority of the IG consists of: the Chairmen, the Board and the Control Department. The advisory body is the Scientific Team. Activity of the IG is covered by the Administrative Office, International Contacts Office and Publishing Office.

Research and analytical activity is based at Studies and Analyses Team, which is divided into topical sections. Knowledge-sharing is carried out by Educational Section.
